Components are the lowest level of physical items that your organization sells. For example, if you are a computer assembler, a motherboard or a hard disk drive may be a component. Components are the building blocks for assemblies and models.

Each component has one or more rates. Rates are the internal cost and selling price of the component. Obviously these change over time, which is why CQWorx allows you to add as many component rates as you wish.

CQWorx can implement business rules for components. Business rules for example determine what the minimum quantity is. You may for example be a builder who has to order his bricks in multiples of 1000. The minimum quantity is then 1000. Some organizations also have maximum quantities, for example an upper limit on the number of a particular component for which a client is charged. If your component doesn't have a minimum or maximum, please set these values to 0.
