You can think of inquiries as a sophisticated kind of "to-do" list. Let's take the following example: your customer phones you and asks for information about one of your products. You don't have the information available immediately, but want to make a note to phone him back later. This is typically an inquiry. Inquiries are always linked to customers, and you should therefore either create the customer or choose an existing customer.

Each inquiry typically has a number of steps, for example: customer phones - you generate a quotation - customer has inquiries about the quotation. This all belongs to one, original inquiry, and are know as the process steps. You can add as many steps to the inquiry as are required.

Each process step has a description and notes, and is assigned to a particular system user. If your customer sent you a document such as an email or a facsimile, you can link this document to the inquiry by saving it to your hard disk and clicking on the "Choose document file" button.

Inquiries are found in the "Inquiry processes" window of the main CQWorx application.
