Regions are the areas or countries in which you do business. You can print reports per user, for example quotations per region. Regions also allow you to set up exchange rates. For example, if you live in the USA but do business in China, you can set up the rates of exchange between China's and the USA's currency in the Regions screen. Each customer you capture is assigned to a region and the customer's region will determine in which currency his quotations are supplied. You should capture rates of exchange on a regular basis if you want to do international quotations, by opening the Regions screen.

The Freeware version only allows for one region. You can therefore not set up rates of exchange in the Freeware version. The Professional version allows for multiple regions and multiple currencies.
