Reports are printouts generated by CQWorx, for example a printed quotation or a listing of component sales per time period.

CQWorx uses Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) as its native reporting format. HTML has the benefit that there are many viewers that are able to display HTML text - Internet Explorer is one example of a program that can use HTML. Furthermore, because it is such a common format, it is easy to email an HTML document to another person such as your customers, and to be sure that the recipient can view the HTML document.

*** If CQWorx does not currently have a particular report that you think would be useful, we'd like to know about it for possible inclusion in future versions. Please email us with a full description of what kind of report you'd like to have available. ***

CQWorx will always display a preview window when you click on the print button, which will show you your report before you print it. To send the document to your printer, please click on the first button in the toolbar. The second button in the toolbar allows you to save your report as a CSV (comma-delimited) file. This is useful when you want to use your report's data in a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel. The third button in the toolbar allows you to send the report to the customer using email.

If you are not a native English speaker, you can change the language of keywords and headings your reports. To do so, please click on File->Options and click on the "Local Language Equivalents" tab. This tab allows you to set up local language equivalents in the second column. Please refer to the image below. You can also set up standard messages in the Printouts tab of the window below.
